Using SNMP Traps to Monitor the Cisco TelePresence System 
Cisco provides you with management information bases (MIB) files that are designed to monitor your system using the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). For more information, refer to the “MIBs, RFCs, and SNMP Trap Messages for the Cisco TelePresence System”chapter of the Cisco TelePresence System Message Guide.

Configuring the SIP Profile for phone devices This creates the SIP Profile that is to be applied to all phone devices.  
On Unified CM, go to Device> Device Settings> SIP Profile.  
Click Copy against the Standard SIP Profile.  
Configure the following fields, leaving everything else a sits default value:

Using Web interface 
Navigate to Configuration > System Configuration > Provisioning on the endpoint. 
Navigate to ExternalManager section and enter the Address, which can be an IP address, DNS name or the path of the External Manager which is the CUCM cluster TFTP server address . Click Save. 
Navigate to Mode and set the provisioning mode to CUCM. Click Save.

The two basic reasons for the codec to not getting listed can be:
Codec and the Touch 8 are not able to communicate with each other and possibly they are on different subnets. 
Pairing visibility mode is not active on the codec.

The correct path is: Administrative Tools > TMS Server Maintenance > TMS
Diagnostics >Download Log Files.

To create a backup of the VCS’s system data: 
Go to the Backup and restore page (Maintenance > Backup and restore).  
Optionally, enter an Encryption password with which to encrypt the backup file. If a password is specified, the same password will be required to restore the file.  
Click Create system backup file.  
After the backup file has been prepared, a pop-up window appears and prompts you to save the file (the exact wording depends on your browser). The default name is in the format: ___backup.tar.gz. (The file extension is normally .tar.gz.enc if an encryption password is specified. However, if you use Internet Explorer to create an encrypted backup file, the filename extension will be .tar.gz.gz by default. These different filename extensions have no operational impact; you can create and restore encrypted backup files using any supported browser.) Note that the preparation of the system backup file may take several minutes. Do not navigate away from this page while the file is being prepared. 
Save the file to a designated location. 
Note that log files are not included in the system backup file.

  To display the current status of the IP address, enter : status
If you have DHCP enabled on your network and you are allowing the MCU to acquire its address using DHCP, the IP address that has been acquired by Ethernet port A will be shown; if you have assigned a static IP address, that is the address that will be shown.

Usage Guidelines 
Use this command to view upgrade status. The detail keyword will show the current versions of the peripherals as well as the peripheral firmware versions in the image. If a peripheral has been marked for forced upgrade with the set upgrade commands, the entry will be followed by an “F” in the output. See Set Commands and Unset Commands.
